About 10Web
Founded by Arto Minasyan, 10Web is a company offering an all-in-one platform for building and hosting WordPress sites. 10Web is a Google partner, and most of its services are supported by Google’s cloud offerings.
10Web strives to assist customers who are unsatisfied with their current website’s speeds, find it difficult to manage all of the components of their websites, worried about performance and uptime, or struggling to migrate to another provider. To that end, 10Web has built its business around ten essential components, including:
- Cloud-based hosting
- An easy-to-use sitebuilder
- Stunning template designs
- Powerful plugins
- Backup solutions
- Security
- Website speed and performance
- SEO
- Analytics
- Solid technical support
To date, 10Web has over 10 years of experience with WordPress and hosts over 10,000 websites for its customers. If you use 10Web’s website builder, the company promises that the result will perform well (10Web claims that it will score 95+ on Google’s tests).
Does 10Web walk the walk and provide its customers with all ten components? In this 10Web cloud hosting review, we will take a close look at what the company promises on its website to find out.
A Note Regarding Managed WordPress Hosting
10Web offers what it calls managed hosting for WordPress users. If you have spent any time looking for hosting for your WordPress site, you will be familiar with this term. What does it mean exactly?
Unfortunately, there is no industry-standard definition for what managed WordPress hosting is. What you can expect, however, is the addition of features designed to make working with WordPress sites easier.
For some hosts, it might just mean hosting on infrastructure optimized for WordPress sites. Other hosts, however, might include professional services like automatic updates to the WordPress core, analytics, and more.
When seeking managed WordPress services and hosting solutions, read the product descriptions carefully so that you know what you are getting.

Features
10Web offers a variety of professional services that come free of charge with the purchase of a web hosting package. The following is a description of the services that you can expect as a customer.
Backup Solution
10Web offers free backups. You can schedule automatic backups on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, so that you do not have to remember to manually run backups. 10Web allows you to perform full backups, backups of the database itself, or differential backups where you only save only the changes made since the last backup.
All of your backups are stored in an AWS-hosted cloud (though you could choose to use Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft Azure, and so on if AWS doesn’t fit your needs), and logs of your backups are available for viewing at any time. If you need to restore a backup, you can do so with just one click.
Image Optimizer
One of the biggest hits to a website’s performance are images. While images are extremely important, the quality and size of most images means that they are one of the slowest loading assets on a webpage. To that end, 10Web’s Image Optimizer tool seeks to help you find the fine line between good-looking images and images that load quickly.
The Image Optimizer automatically optimizes the images you upload to your website and compresses it to the degree you deem appropriate (conservative, balanced, or extreme).
Image Optimizer offers three types of optimization:
- Conservative (light reduction): reduces image sizes by up to 20%, keeps the EXIF data for the images, and does not replace the original images.
- Balanced (or lossy reduction): reduces image sizes by up to 60%, eliminates the EXIF data for the images, and does not replace the original images.
- Extreme: reduces image sizes by up to 90%, eliminates the EXIF data for the images, and does not keep the original images.
Every time you compress an image, the 10Web dashboard provides you with detailed statistics and optimization history so that you can see exactly how much you have gained by compressing your images.
If necessary, the tool can also help you convert the image file’s type (e.g., from JPG to PNG). The Image Optimizer can also be used to compress your PDF files.
SEO Services and Tools
SEO determines how well your website ranks in the results page shown to viewers when they search for a team relevant to your website. 10Web comes with features to help you improve your SEO, including:
- Custom metadata fields for each post/page
- Canonical URLs
- The ability to generate and customize an XML sitemap
- Analytics, so you can see what people are searching for and adjust your site accordingly
- Search results preview, so you know what users see
- Technical analysis, so you can see any issues that might negatively affect your SEO
- Assistance with setting up 404s so that you avoid showing your users broken links
Per 10Web, it only takes about a minute to set up the included SEO suite.
High-Class Security
As one of the most widely-used content management systems (CMS) in the world, WordPress gets a lot of attention from malicious parties. As such, you should take the security of your website seriously. 10Web helps make this task easier with its included security service.
10Web’s security offering includes scheduled scanning for vulnerabilities or security issues, as well as unauthorized file changes. By default, all aspects of 10Web’s security scan is enabled, but you are welcome to turn individual aspects on or off as needed.
10Web also keeps a record of all changes made to your files — you can view detailed information on the changes that were made, as well as when they were made. If you want to revert anything, you can do so. These changes include manual changes, as well as automatic changes made by the security suite.
If there are changes the automated security system suggests that you do not want implemented, you can choose to ignore them.
10Web’s security suite also comes with the ability to restore corrupt files.
Website Speed Test
10Web’s Website Speed Test serves two purposes:
- It keeps you up-to-date on how well (or not) your webpage is performing
- Identify where any slowdowns might be if you are unhappy with the performance of your website(s)
10Web’s Speed Test allows you to run performance checks with one click, and the results are returned to you using a letter-grading system (i.e., an A means your website is performing well, while subsequent letters indicate deteriorating performance).
In addition to the performance rating, you will get optimization recommendations so you know what you need to do to make your website better.
The first test that is run is automatic. You can conduct additional tests as needed, and if you want regular reports, you can schedule regular speed tests. All of your results are stored, so you can track how your performance trends over time. The data such reports contain include:
- Performance grade: an overall summary of how your website is performing
- Page load time: the total amount of time it takes for your website to fully load
- Total page size: the size of your website’s landing page (the first page your viewer’s see when navigating to your website)
- Number of requests: how many requests a browser has to make to the server before it has all of the assets and resources it needs to fully render your website.
Analytics and Reports
One of the add-ons that 10Web sells is what it calls the “most powerful Google Analytics plugin.”
With the purchase and addition of 10Web’s analytics plugin, you can:
- View all of your reports in your 10Web admin area.
- Create custom reports by picking the dimensions (including custom WordPress-oriented options like users, post type, category, publication date, and tags) and metrics desired, as well as how they should be displayed.
- Display page traffic and statistics on the front-end of a website.
- Track e-commerce revenue and other relevant statistics.
- Track and view search analytics.
You can also set up alerts and notifications based on triggers you defined, and you can add and manage your website-related goals in your WordPress Dashboard. To move your data elsewhere, you can do so via exported CSV files or email reports.
If you have an AdSense account or a Google Ads integration, this plugin allows you to display your data in the WordPress dashboard as well. If you want to exclude the collection of specific data (e.g., traffic from certain users, role types, or IP addresses), you can create custom code to do so as well.

Hosting Websites with 10Web
When reviewing the hosting options offered by 10Web, you will notice that the company does not offer various hosting “tiers” like many other companies (e.g., shared hosting, virtual private server (VPS) hosting, dedicated servers).
Rather, the company offers hosting plans based on expected resource usage and traffic levels. If you have an existing website, you can use the data that you have collected to determine the best package for you (otherwise, you might consider speaking with a 10Web representative to help determine the best option for you).
10Web does, however, offer flexible scaling on demand. For example, if you get a surge of traffic unexpectedly, 10Web will automatically scale up the resources that are allocated to your website to make sure that you stay online. This requires no work on your part and does not incur any usage surcharges.
10Web WordPress Hosting Review
When purchasing a WordPress hosting plan, you can expect to receive the following, no matter which plan tier you opt for:
- Hosting via Google Cloud across data centers in four continents, minimizing data server transfer time between users and the server itself.
- A staging environment, which allows you to make changes and test them before deploying to a production environment.
- Use of performance technologies, including solid-state drive (SSD) storage, NGINX web servers along with NGINX FastCGI Caching, and LXD containers.
- Elastic scaling so that your website’s resource allocation automatically adjusts whenever you receive traffic surges.
- Free SSL certificate to make sure that transmissions between your servers and visitors stay safe (and are unreadable if they are, for some reason, intercepted by a malicious party). SSL certificates are also key for securing your site, which is one of the criteria search engines take into account when deciding how to rank page results.
If you have an existing WordPress website hosted elsewhere, 10Web offers a tool that helps you migrate your website over with just a few clicks. Alternatively, if you are in need of a new (or additional) website, you get access to what 10Web calls its Effortless Site Builder. It comes with over 30 premium widgets that you can mix and match to build a new website.
Other perks included with all website hosting packages include templates (in case you want to change up your site’s design), as well as access to a library of over 50 plugins.

Templates
10Web provides a number of templates that you can use to get started with a new website. The company currently offers 27 different options, though the company promises that “dozens are coming soon.” We were impressed by the premium WordPress themes on offer.
The available options are named by type (e.g., Architecture and Interior Design Firm, Blogs, Artist, Education, and so on), but you would be free to use any template for any reason you would like.
Plugins
10Web customers, as part of their hosting package, get access to over fifty (50) premium plugins the company has developed (part of the company’s background involves WordPress plugin development).
Some of the options available to you include:
- Form Maker
- Photo Gallery
- Event Calendar
- Slider
- MailChimp
The 10Web Dashboard
When it comes to managing your 10Web account, the company provides you with a proprietary dashboard that the company has designed in-house.
In addition to being where you would find the included all-in-one website builder, the 10Web dashboard allows you to:
- Keep track of all your websites and its included modules
- Monitor your web hosting speeds and your website performance
- Access your plugins and any account extras
- Optimize images
- Install new features
The 10Web dashboard works side-by-side with the WordPress Dashboard, so if you prefer to manage your website with the latter, you can do so instead of using 10Web’s offering.
10Web Pricing and Payments
When you are comparing the web hosting plans offered by 10Web, be aware that the displayed prices are for those who opt for annual contracts during purchase. If, however, you opt for monthly billing, you will pay more for your web hosting package.
By opting for annual billing, you will be saving 15% off the purchase of your web hosting package. In the short run, however, you will be out more money since you have to pay for your services upfront.

10Web User Reviews
We have spent a lot of time in this 10Web hosting review covering the features and functionality that come with its web hosting plans. However, when doing your research, don’t neglect user reviews written by actual customers — these will help provide you with a well-rounded picture of what 10Web is actually like, along with information regarding their long-term experiences that can help you decide if 10Web is the managed WordPress hosting provider for you.
10Web is a simple, yet powerful Managed Cloud Hosting Platform for SMBs and Agencies to host their content and ecommerce applications on Google cloud so they can focus on their business while leaving the infrastructure and management hassles to 10Web.

I moved from a cPanel style shared host to 10Web and won’t look back. The 10Web dashboard is much cleaner for the things that you mention like add subdomains etc and more powerful for things like backing up and restoring… 10Web has automatic daily backups and their dashboard is just as easy to use as Cpanel in my opinion. Give it a try.
Brian Hagar
Best advice I can give is start a 10Web account, They still offer a 7-day free trial, check out the dashboard, if you get stuck the knowledge base has all the answers. 10Web has default domains with each app instance so you don’t have to worry about changing your DNS for the test. Monitor the server stats over a few days.
Jon Insley
I switched and very happy. 10Web is more white glove. Site is very fast, shaved off if I recall a second and some just moving the exact site from SG to 10Web. We had some bumps in the begining but man did they perform. You know what I don’t miss…calling SG for tech issues. It was constant with them. Always problems with inconsistent speed and problems with their caching. If you have a large site I think SG is in over their heads. 10Web staged better, their stack was better for my needs. No there is no c-panel but you won’t miss it. Their interface is really clean, you have most of the same tools it won’t take you long to pick it up.

Yes — as a matter of fact, we wouldn’t recommend 10Web for those without WordPress sites.
How many applications and websites can I host on a single cloud server?
The number of websites you can host depends on your hosting package. The pre-defined hosting packages allow you to host between 1-10 websites. If you need to host additional websites, you can speak to 10Web about a custom package.
Is 10Web Right for You?
Installing, setting up, and managing a WordPress site can be time consuming. Furthermore, though the platform is plenty powerful, there is a lot that you need to do to make sure that your website remains fast loading over time.
For most people, the amount of work required for a high-performance WordPress site can be daunting. That is why it might be worth it for these users to spring for a managed WordPress hosting company that handles much of the legwork required by such sites.
Managed WordPress hosts, however, can be quite expensive. If you are interested in such a company, but do not have a larger budget, 10Web’s offerings might be a reasonable compromise for you.
