WP Engine Review
WP engine is considered the best hosting choice for WordPress websites and for many great reasons. They offer the best fully-managed hosting platform that aims to take care of three main issues with WordPress:
WP Engine does those three things with superior customer support as a bonus. Sure, if you’re just getting started blogging, it may be difficult to justify spending at least $29 per month for web hosting. But, if you run a business or do any online marketing WPEngine can help you maximize your traffic and revenue.
WP Engine serves your site really fast and they’re the only WordPress hosting company who includes a fully-managed CDN service.
This is important because Google began including site speed into their ranking algorithm in 2010. On top of this, there are other case studies/researches that have tied site speed to revenue online.
- Amazon concluded that they increase revenue by 1% for every 100 milliseconds they decrease their loading time.
- Yahoo increased traffic 9% for every 400 milliseconds of improvement.
If your website loads like an old snail crawling uphill, this can drastically affect your website’s revenue and traffic. Nevertheless, WP Engine can also help you run a better website by making it fast and reliable. Downtime for your website leads to decreased leads and conversions. With WPEngine’s scalability and security, you won’t have to worry about your website going down at the wrong time.
Speed & Uptime Results
According to recent researches conducted by Cloudspectator found that WP Engine is the managed WordPress hosting company who has lowest response time (less than 280 ms) than other web hosts. Cloudspectator also found that WP Engine has the highest uptime (100%).

Customer Reviews – Pros & Cons
Roel van der Ven | SoundCloud.com
After hosting several high traffic WordPress sites it’s a relief to come to WP Engine. At SoundCloud we were looking for a hassle free provider to set up our blogs at, which we found in these guys. Swift replies, but also very open to feedback and eager to improve. Almost like unicorns!.

I’ve been on many hosting companies and develop sites for a living. There is simply no hosting company that is better than WP Engine. Their security, speed and developer friendly tools are without parallel. For example, I can easily “clone” a site at any stage of development and work in a “sandbox” or “staging” environment. Also, their time machine like restore points have save my butt on more than one occasion. When add their incredible support that knows WordPress inside and out it makes for the best combination for hosting that I’ve used.

As soon as I switched over to WP Engine my load time dropped to under 1 second only to speed up even more after using their CDN. Google is crawling my website much more effectively, and not only that but my website bounce rate decreased, engagement increased, and most importantly conversions also increased due to switching to WP Engine. It’s a comfort knowing that my website will keep performing this way and I have helpful and knowledgeable staff at hand if I need it.

WP Engine has its own benefits as well as cons. I used it and it worked pretty well for me.
WP Engine seriously has the best support out there. They are always professional and get back to you quickly. I host a couple of ecommerce sites with them and it is well worth the money for the peace of mind. Having the staging site is so helpful and easy to use instead of having to set up and maintain a separate dev site myself. The daily restore points and being able to make manual restore points has helped me out tremendously when I’ve accidentally broken things lol It really does feel like having an army of WordPress experts at your side. I highly recommend them!

WP Engine overall is a good host. They do their best to keep WordPress sites fast with their aggressive caching and by limiting plugins that’ll suck site performance. Their support is also pretty knowledgeable, which can help. My biggest complaints with the whole setup is that they don’t support htaccess files and their CACHING is way too aggressive and only need for the most basic of sites. If you have any dynamic pieces of content in your site I would stay far away from WP Engine.
I’ve really, really liked working with WP Engine and think what you guys are doing and offering are top notch. I’m not a WordPress or hosting expert by any stretch, but I’ve been around long enough to have a number of not so great experiences. WP Engine is delivering a great hosting experience all around. Thank you.

My experience with WP Engine has been very positive. Now that my site is hosted with WP Engine, I have a higher level of confidence and pride when sharing links to my site. I value peoples’ time, therefore I only want to present important content. Likewise, I don’t want to waste anyone’s time waiting for a page to load. WP Engine hosting is fast and dependable. In addition to performance, WP Engine excels with their topnotch admin interface, documentation, and support, as well as a stream of vetted WordPress news and information in their blog and social media.
I definitely recommend WP Engine for professionals who want to start a site on a reliable foundation, and for people ready to improve their small, but established project.
